French film ‘Los Perros’ adjudged best in KIFF

French celluloid wanders "Los Perros" coordinated by Marcela Said won the honour for the best film in the Global Rivalry classification of the 23rd Kolkata Worldwide Film Celebration (KIFF) on Friday.

The 94-minute film won the Brilliant Illustrious Bengal Tiger Honor for best film that included a handbag of Rs 51 lakh and a trophy, the coordinators declared at the media gathering.

The Best Executive honour in a similar class was sacked by Iceland's Asa Helga Hjorleifsdottir for the film "Swan". Hjorleifsdottir's delegates were given the Brilliant Imperial Bengal Tiger Honor that incorporated a check of Rs 21 lakh and a trophy.

Veteran on-screen character Biswajit Chatterjee gave over the honours.

Iran's "Kupal" coordinated by Kazem Mollie and Poland's "Fowls Are Singing in Kigali" created by Joanna Koskrauze and Krzysztof Krauze were together given The Jury Unique Say Honor on Advancement in Moving Pictures segment.

Nepalese creation "Farewell Kathmandu" by Nabin Subba was pronounced the best film in the Asian Select (Netpack grant).

The Hiralal Sen Remembrance Honor for the best chief in the Indian dialect film segment went to Bijukumar Damodaran for his film "Sound of Quiet".

The Jury Exceptional Specify Honor in a similar segment was won by "Pathumma" coordinated by Panchakshari.

In the short movies classification, "Chahat Ke Gubbare" by Amritanshu got the honour for best film.

In the narrative segment, the best short movie grant went to "Mrityubhoj" (the demise devour) coordinated by Akanksha Sood.

Agents from more than 20 nations went to the eight-day celebration, where 143 movies from India and abroad were screened.
